Former PGA and British Open champion John Daly will make his first appearance
in next month's £2.2 million pounds Scottish Open at Loch Lomond, the
organisers have said.
The tournament, which will be held from July 12 to 15, is part of the 35-year-old
American's preparation for the British Open at Royal Lytham the following
week.
Daly, who won the 1995 Open at St Andrews, had his best finish of the year
at the St Jude Classic when he tied for fifth place with Curtis Strange with a
total of 270.
Fellow major winners Tom Lehman, Jose Maria Olazabal, Bernhard Langer and
Paul Lawrie have also confirmed their places in the Scottish Open line-up.
Sergio Garcia and Andrew Coltart, respective winners at last weekend's
tournaments on the U.S. and the European Tours, are already confirmed to play.
