Dunhill Links details announced

Three of Scotland's best known links courses will host the inaugural Dunhill Links Challenge from October 18-21, sponsors announced on Monday.

The $5 million event will be played over The Old Course at St. Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.

Each of 156 teams of one professional and one amateur will play 18 holes over each course.

There will be a cut after 54-holes with the climax being staged at St. Andrews where the leading 60 professionals will battle for an individual prize of $800,000 in addition to the top 20 teams playing a final round for the Challenge title.
