Faldo's split with Adams still unresolved

Nick Faldo still has a legal battle on his hands over his split from his former clubs' sponsor Adams.

The six-times major winner, who is awaiting the outcome of talks between lawyers representing both sides, claims he is owed more than £500,000 while Adams allege breach of contract.

"I've twice been offered a settlement and was ready to get it all sorted, but then I was told to deal with a Dallas-based lawyer and it's gone on," said Faldo.

He claimed the agreement obliged him to use Adams clubs only "when they are to my reasonable satisfaction", and added:

"I feel I've been very fair with Adams throughout and in fact have continued to represent them on the course over the last months notwithstanding they were withholding monies due to me.

"I hope we will be able to agree a mutually acceptable parting. If not, I suppose the courts will sort it out. We will see."

The metal woods Faldo is using at present are made by his previous sponsors
Mizuno. "They're around five years old, which almost makes them antiques," he
said. "I'm open to offers."
