Greg Norman to play Loch Lomond event

Former world number one Greg Norman is the latest big name to confirm his appearance at this month's Scottish Open at Loch Lomond, organisers have said.

The 2.2 million pounds ($3.10 million) July 12-15 event, one of the richest on the European tour, is the last tournament before this year's British Open at Royal Lytham, and traditionally attracts a strong field.

Ernie Els, who won last year's Loch Lomond Invitational, is also in the field, along with Lee Westwood, Thomas Bjorn, Jose Maria Olazabal, Sergio Garciaand Colin Montgomerie, who ended a 13-month winless streak at the Irish Open on Sunday.

Former British Open champions Tom Lehman and John Daly will head the American challenge at Loch Lomond.
