O'Sullivan gains four shot win

Denis O'Sullivan closed with 69 to gain his third European Seniors Tour victory at the Palmerston Trophy in Berlin.

"I think that's probably the best I have ever played for a whole tournament," said O'Sullivan, a former Irish amateur international who won his first two Seniors titles at last year's Dan Technology Seniors Tournament of Champions and the Abu Dhabi Seniors Tour Championship.

"I decided to widen my swing a bit after the first round of last week's tournament in Jersey and the end result is that I have hardly hit a bad shot since."

"This means an awful lot to me," he added. "Last year, when I won my first two tournaments, I did it coming from behind, but this time I was there to be shot at but I still managed retain my composure and play my golf the way I wanted to play."
