Jesper Parnevik fires caddie

Jesper Parnevik, a two-time European Ryder Cup member, fired Lance Ten Broeck as his caddie after the second round at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

"I haven't played well for a while and we're going to have a break," said Parnevik, who missed the cut at Waialae Country Club.

He said he had not decided who would caddie for him at next week's Phoenix Open. He said other caddies have offered to work for him.

The Swede first employed former PGA Tour player Ten Broeck at the 1999 Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic, and they had a dream honeymoon, winning their first week together.

Parnevik subsequently won twice on the PGA Tour early last year, but his game declined in the second half of the season.
