Dates set for 2003 Presidents Cup

The Presidents Cup, pushed back to 2003 to accommodate the postponed Ryder Cup, will be played in South Africa the week before Thanksgiving.

The matches will be Nov. 20-23, 2003, on the Links Golf Course at the Fancourt Hotel and Country Club Estates. Gary Player designed the course and will be the International team captain.

The Presidents Cup originally was scheduled for Nov. 7-10, 2002.

When the Ryder Cup was postponed one year because of the terrorist attacks, the Presidents Cup agreed to move to 2003 so the matches would not be held six weeks apart.

The Ryder Cup is scheduled for Sept. 27-29, 2002, in England.
