Westwood
unlikely to feature at Masters
European Order
of Merit champion Lee Westwood is putting family ahead of the US
Masters.
The Englishman
is still awaiting the birth of his first child and looks unlikely
to feature in this year's event at Augusta.
Westwood's
wife Laurae is due to give birth on Saturday and he has said there
is no way he will leave for America before becoming a father.
Even if the
baby is born before play starts, Westwood is unlikely to leave so
soon after the birth.
"The baby is
due on the Saturday of the Masters and if it hasn't arrived by then
I won't play," Westwood had said in the run-up to the tournament.
"It's our first
child and babies are a higher priority than golf."
