2005
Solheim cup goes to Crooked Stick The Solheim Cup, one of the
top events in women's golf, will be played at Crooked Stick Golf Club in 2005. The
Solheim Cup is a biennial three-day match-play competition that pits 12-member
teams from the United States and Europe. Tentative dates for the 2005 event are
Sept. 16-18. Among the courses Crooked Stick beat for The Cup are Pebble
Beach, a four-time U.S. Open site, and Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wis., site
of the 2004 PGA Championship. Crooked Stick was the site of the 1993 U.S.
Women's Open Championship and the 1991 PGA Championship.
