Frederik Jacobson wins November award

Fredrik Jacobson has been named Asprey Golfer of the Month for November for which he earns a £1,000 charity donation to The Golf Foundation.

Jacobson won the award for his victory in the Omega Hong Kong Open, the 28-year-old Swede securing his first European Tour title after finishing second on six previous occasions.

"I am honoured to be voted Asprey Golfer of the Month ahead of so many deserving candidates," said Jacobson.

The Asprey Panel discussed a worthy list of contenders which included Bernhard Langer and Colin Montgomerie, who tied for the 2002 Tour's final event the Volvo Masters Andalucia, and recent event winners Padraig Harrington and Ernie Els.
