Tiger considers Bethpage toughest par-70

Having played the Black Course at Bethpage State Park, Tiger Woods is bracing for a difficult time next week at the U.S. Open.

``I have to say it's the hardest par-70 course I've ever seen,'' Woods said on his Web site (tigerwoods.com). ``Anyone who thinks the winning score will be in double-digits is crazy.''

Woods played the Black Course last week with Mark O'Meara.

The course is 7,214 yards, the longest in U.S. Open history for a par 70. It also features two of the longest par 4s for a U.S. Open, the 492-yard 10th hole and the 499-yard 12th.

``On a couple holes, you have to carry the ball 270 yards just to reach the fairway,'' Woods said. ``Plus, the fairways are pretty narrow and the rough is about 3 inches. It's going to be a hell of a test.''
