35 withdrawals so far from Qatar Masters

A total of 35 players have so far withdrawn from next week's Qatar Masters.

However, tour executive director Ken Schofield has said that "all preparations including golf course, accommodation and transportation are complete and secure".

But many players are heeding advice from the British government who have advised that Qatar should only be visited for essential business.

Among those who have pulled out are Nick Faldo, Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood, Paul Lawrie and Seve Ballesteros along with defending champion Adam Scott.
