Sorenstam
may take on a PGA Tour event
Annika Sorenstam says she would accept an invitation to play in
a PGA Tour event.
The Swede dominated the womens tour in 2002 and she believes
that she can match it with the mens best.
Speaking at a sponsors lunch at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge,
Sorenstam believes the experience could only help her game.
"If I got an invite, I would say, 'Yes,' in a heartbeat,"
the world no.1 said.
"It's a great challenge. It's not something I want to do regularly.
But it would be a great learning experience."
Sorenstam won 13 events in 2002, breaking numerous records along
the way. However, she may be beaten to the punch in regards to playing
in a PGA Tour event.
Suzy Whaley, a club professional from Connecticut, qualified for
the Greater Hartford Open to be held in July.
