Cranfield helps Cevaer to first Europeantitle

April 2004 Golf Pro coach Scott Cranfield is feeling justifiably proud tonight as his latest protigie Frenchman Christian Cevaer won the Spanish Open to win his maiden European Tour title. Scott has worked his magic in record-breaking speed as he only started working with Cevaer four weeks ago.

"This is his first win on tour for five years. Four weeks ago he was 130th in the order of merit and now he's 9th and 275,000 euros better off. Scott regularly works with a small group of players including Bradley Dredge, Robert-Jan Derksen, Zane Scotland, and David Carter amongst others. Last year Scott notched up two European Tour wins with Bradley Dredge and Robert-Jan Derksen.

In the short time Cranfield worked with Cevaer the primary focus was to draw Cevaer's natural talent out, as Cranfield diagnosed he had become too technical often thinking about his swing instead of the shot at hand. "We have worked on some fun drills together to change Christian's mindset and bring some more flair and natural instinct to his game. This combined with a little swing work to improve the timing of his swing has worked wonders.
Christians win just shows how talented he his, all he needed was the right key to finally unlock his true potential!"

Scott Cranfield is also a qualified sports psychologist.
