Scott Drummond jumps up 340 ranking places
Scott Drummond won the Volvo PGA Championship at Wentworth, the European Tour's flagship event, with a sensational eight-under-par final round of 64 claiming a two stroke victory over Argentina's Angel Cabrera. Drummond jumps 340 places in the World Ranking to number 95. Cabrera moves up 35 places to World Number 43 and along with Sweden's Joakim Haeggman, who finished third, earns a place in next month's US Open.
David Tomssuccessfully defended the FedEx St. Jude Classic title with a six-stoke victory from Bob Estes in second place. Toms jumps up one place in the World Ranking to 15 th and Estes climbs 9 places to World Number 60.
Tetsuji Hiratsuka won the Mitsubishi Diamond Cup on the Japan Golf Tour taking the title by 5 strokes from Hidemasa Hoshino. Hiratsuka climbs 32 places in the Official World Golf Ranking and is now World Number 101.
Chris Andersondefeated Jason Buha, Paul Gow and Brendan Jones in a playoff to win the SAS Carolina Classic on the Nationwide Tour and moves up 66 places in the World Ranking to number 306.
