Fanny Sunesson retires as Nick Faldo's caddy

Nick Faldo will go into 2005 still without a win since 1997 -- and also without his longtime caddie Fanny Sunesson by his side.

Having worked with the six-time major champion for most of the last 14 years, Sunesson is now giving up full-time caddying to pursue other interests.

"I am looking forward to it -- it will be exciting," said the Swede, one of the most recognizable women in golf.

Faldo is not scheduled to play again until the Heineken Classic in Melbourne, Australia, at the start of February.
