Retief Goosen moves up to World No.7
Retief Goosen won the 104th US Open Championship after a tense battle with the reigning Masters Champion Phil Mickelson in difficult conditions at Shinnecock Hills. Goosen's second US Open triumph in 4 years moves him up 2 places in the World Ranking to number 7 while Mickelson climbs a spot to World Number 4.
Philippe Lima of France won for a second successive week as he captured the Aa St Omer Open, a European Tour and Challenge Tour dual ranking tournament, with a sensational final round 66. Lima has now climbed to number 252 in the Ranking.
Dinesh Chand of Fiji had a four stroke victory in the Mandom Lucido Yomiuri Open on the Japan Golf Tour and jumps 123 places to World Number 230.
D.A. Points defeated James Driscoll in a sudden-death playoff to win the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic on the Nationwide Tour and is now World Number 440.
