2009 Solheim Cup to be played in Chicago
The 2009 Solheim Cup between Europe and the United States will be played at Sugar Grove, near Chicago.
The LPGA has chosen the par-72 14-year-old Rich Harvest Farms course for the biennial women's team event.
Europe reclaimed the Cup in 2003 and will defend it in 2005 in Indianapolis, while the 2007 matches will be played in Halmstad, Sweden.
"It's one of the best courses I've ever played," seven-time US Solheim Cup player Beth Daniel said.
"The players are the best from Europe and the United States. This course will challenge them to bring their best game."
