Walker named Nationwide Player of the Year

Two-time tournament winner Jimmy Walker has been named the Nationwide Tour Player of the Year for 2004, tour officials have announced.

Walker earned a Nationwide Tour-leading total of $371,346, averaging $14,853 per start. He posted a stroke average of 70.06 and had seven top-10 finishes including victories in the BellSouth Panama Championship and the Chitimacha Louisiana Open.
