Allenby & Green share Australian PGA lead

Australian Open champion Robert Allenby and Nathan Green share the lead of the Australian PGA tournament at Coolum in Queensland after the delayed third round was completed on Sunday.

Persistent rain and electrical storms severely hampered play on Thursday and Friday, with players having to complete their third round early on Sunday before the final round could begin.

Australian Green had been the overnight leader on 13-under after 13 holes, while his compatriot Allenby was lurking two shots back after 14.

Allenby picked up two more shots on the 15th and 16th holes to shoot an eight-under 64 and join Green, who made a bogey four on 14 and birdie three on 17 for a 68, at the top of the leaderboard on 203, 13-under-par.

Nick O'Hern, Rod Pampling, Wade Ormsby and Steven Bowditch were tied for third on 10 under, one shot ahead of U.S. Open champion Michael Campbell of New Zealand, who made an eagle on the 18th hole to be nine under.
