Shigeki Maruyama and Japanese golf tour money ranking leader Shingo Katayama have been named to front Japan's team for the Dynasty Cup in April.
Maruyama, a regular on the PGA Tour, will team up with Katayama to lead Japan against the Rest of Asia team in the April 15-17 competition in Shenzhen, China. Both players were named to the team by non-playing captain Isao Aoki.
The announcement was made Monday on the JGTO's official Web site.
In the inaugural Dynasty Cup, a tournament similar to the Ryder Cup between teams from the United States and Europe, the Rest of Asia beat Japan 16.5-7.5 at the same venue two years ago.
The remaining members on the Japanese team are Toru Taniguchi, Takashi Kamiyama, Hideki Kase, Keiichiro Fukabori, Tomohiro Kondo, Tetsuji Hiratsuka, Ryoken Kawagishi, Toru Suzuki and Hiroyuki Fujita.
