Sergio Garcia to ring NYSE Opening Bell
On Monday, May 23, Sergio Garcia will join Thomas L. Kalaris, CEO of Barclays Capital Americas, and Anheuser-Busch President August A. Busch IV to ring The Opening Bell at the New York Stock Exchange to promote the Barclays Classic, which takes place June 20-26 in Harrison, N.Y.
“I’m excited about my visit to the New York Stock Exchange to ring the bell,” said Garcia, currently ranked eighth in the Official World Golf Ranking. “I know what an honor it is and I’ve heard from other players on tour that many of the traders at the Exchange are serious golf fans.”
Barclays, an international financial services group engaged primarily in banking, investment banking and investment management, serves as title sponsor of the PGA Tour tournament at Westchester Country Club in Rye, N.Y.
Anheuser-Busch currently features Garcia in a series of humorous television ads for Michelob Ultra. Through its Michelob brand family and O’Doul’s brands, Anheuser-Busch is one of the PGA Tour ’s longest corporate sponsors.
