Padraig Harrington moves to World No.8
Ireland's Padraig Harrington rose three places to eighth in the world rankings on Monday after winning the Barclays Classic at Westchester Country Club, New York.
An eagle three at the 18th sealed with a 65-foot putt ensured European Ryder Cup player Harrington went one better than last year when he finished second in the event.
France's Jean-Francois Remesy retained his home French Open title at Le Golf National after a playoff with countryman Jean van de Velde. He climbed 68 places to 97th spot.
Tiger Woods, who did not play at Westchester, remains number one ahead of Fijian Vijay Singh who finished well down the field on Sunday.
Chris Campbell won the Mizuno Championship on the Japan Golf Tour and moves up to World Number 276.
The weeks other winners were Greg Kraft at the Northeast Pennsylvania Classic on the Nationwide Tour, Terry Pilkadaris won the Brunei Open on the Asian Tour while Gareth Davies was victorious at the Galeria Kaufhof Pokal Challenge on the European Challenge Tour.
