David Howell moves up to career high No.22
David Howell shot a final round of 65 to win the BMW International Open at Golfclub München Nord-Eichenried by a stroke from John Daly and Brett Rumford with a 23-under-par total. The win takes Howell to a career high position of 22nd in the Official World Golf Ranking, an improvement of 8 places.
Brad Faxon shot a nine birdie final round of 61 and then birdied the first extra hole to win the Buick Championship from South African Tjaart van der Walt. The win takes Faxon close to the World Top 50 in 52nd position, a rise of 34 places.
Toshimitsu Izawa won the Under Armour KBC Augusta Golf Tournament on the Japan Golf Tour, the win taking him to World Number 120.
This week’s other winners were Andrew Johnson at the Cleveland Open on the Nationwide Tour, Andres Romero at the Morson International Pro-Am Challenge on the European Challenge Tour and Michael Harris at the Bay Mills Open on the Canadian Tour.
