Sorenstam & Creamer win Kraft Shoot-Out

Annika Sorenstam and Paula Creamer teamed to win the Kraft/Nabisco Shoot-Out on Monday, a day after Sorenstam held off the 19-year-old Creamer by a stroke in the LPGA Tour's John Q. Hammons Hotel Classic in Oklahoma.

Sorenstam and Creamer beat the teams of Jason Gore and Troy Matteson and fellow LPGA Tour players Natalie Gulbis and Juli Inkster in the nine-hole skins event on the Hillcrest Country Club course, the site the Nationwide Tour's Albertson's Boise Open this week. Sorenstam and Creamer earned $15,000 for women's breast cancer research.

Gore and Matteson, both coming off victories, earned $7,000 for prostate cancer research. Gore, the 2002 Boise winner, won the 84 Lumber Classic in Pennsylvania on Sunday for his first PGA Tour title, and Matteson took the Mark Christopher Charity Classic in California for his second Nationwide Tour victory of the year.

Gulbis and Inkster earned $3,000 to benefit women's heart disease research.

Sorenstam and Creamer won three skins and $10,500 with Sorenstam's birdie on the eighth hole, and Gore and Matteson -- both playing in the Albertson's Boise Open -- took the final skin on Gore's birdie on No. 9. The players played from same tees.

About 12,000 fans attended the charity event.
