LET add new event in Catalonia

The Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour (LET) announced today the addition of the Catalonia Ladies Masters to the 2005 schedule.

The tournament will take place at Golf Platja de Pals, Girona, on the Costa Brava in Spain , from September 22-24, with two pro am days on the 20 th and the 21 st .

There will be no cut made during the tournament. It will be the final event to count towards the Official 2005 LET Money List, open to the top 25 players on the LET Money List along with eight invitations and three qualifiers. The qualifying event will take place during the week of the Nykredit Masters, from September 1-4, in Denmark .

"We are very excited to announce this event, which will take place in such a beautiful area," said Alexandra Armas, Executive Director of the Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour.

"The Costa Brava is one of the top tourist destinations in Spain and renowned for the quality of its golf courses, especially at Golf Platja de Pals."

Ivan Corretja, managing director of Double Match, the event promoters, added:

"This is the third time that we have staged the Catalonia Ladies Masters and we are delighted that the tournament has grown every year. We began the event in 2003 with eight players and it has grown to include 36 of the top players on the Ladies European Tour.

"Golf Platja de Pals is a fantastic course adjacent to the beach, with great services and this offers the players, their guests and officials the opportunity not only to enjoy golf but also to enjoy this beautiful area."
