LPGA extends TV deal through 2009
The LPGA and the Golf Channel have extended their agreement for the Golf Channel to televise a minimum of 10 official LPGA events each year through 2009, tour officials have announced.

In addition to first-run coverage of these events, the Golf Channel will also be home to complete coverage of the 2005, 2007 and 2009 Solheim Cup competitions, including the opening and closing ceremonies.
In addition to the 10 regular season events and the Solheim Cup, the Golf Channel will be the host network for the Women's World Cup of Golf, the first two rounds of the McDonald's LPGA Championship and the first three rounds of the limited-field season-ending ADT Championship.
In all, the Golf Channel will air more than 120 hours of first-run coverage of LPGA events in addition to nearly 100 hours of replay coverage.
