World Number One Vijay Singh birdied the final hole to edge a stroke clear of World Number Three Ernie Els and take the Sony Open in Hawaii title.

Charles Howell III moved back into the World Top 50 at Number 43 thanks to his tied third place finish with overnight leader Shigeki Maruyama, who climbs to World Number 23.
