Doug Tewell out for two months after surgery
Doug Tewell had arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow recently and is expected to be out of action for up to eight weeks. Dr. Carlan Yates performed the surgery in Oklahoma City on the same elbow that forced Tewell off the PGA Tour after the 1995 season.

"I've played injured all year," said the eight-time Champions Tour winner. "It's given me fits since the Charles Schwab Cup Championship in California last October. I decided I just couldn't do this any longer."
Tewell described the procedure as "cleaning out scar tissue."
In seven starts, he has earned $43,156, placing him 68th on the money list. His best finish in a full-field event is a tie for 34th at the Toshiba Senior Classic in March. Tewell also made the cut at his lone PGA Tour start, the MCI Heritage. He finished 73rd. It was Tewell's first made cut on the Tour since 2002 at the same tournament.
