Tryon, the youngest player ever to earn his PGA Tour card, finished at 18-under on The Legends Course. He earned $11,000 from the $66,300 purse.
Tryon was 17 in 2001 when he made it through all three stages of the PGA Tour qualifying school, ending his remarkable run with a bogey-free 66 in the final round. But his controversial decision to turn pro as a high school student failed to pay off, as he struggled on tour and lost his playing privileges.
