US Open qualifiers to be held in England and Japan
Qualifying 36 hole tournaments for the 2005 US Open are scheduled to take place in Europe and Japan for the first time.
Walton Heath in Surrey has been named as the venue for the European qualifying tournament on June 6th, the day after the Wales Open at Celtic Manor near Newport.
The Japanese qualifier will be held on May 30th at the Ono Golf Club. How many places will be on offer has yet to be determined.
A further 11 qualifiers will be held in the United States from 6-7 June, with the US Open at Pinehurst in North Carolina starting on 16 June.
