Tiger Woods stretches lead at top of rankings

Tiger Woods defeated John Daly at the second hole of a sudden death Play-Off at the WGC-American Express Championship at Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco. Woods has stretched his lead over Vijay Singh to 6.25 average points while Daly climbs 14 places to World Number 23.

John Bickerton secured his maiden European Tour win with victory at the Abama Open de Canarias at Abama Golf Club on the Spanish island of Tenerife. Bickerton moves from World Number 354 to 238.

Yong-Eun Yang won the Coca Cola Tokai Classic on the Japan Golf Tour and improves his Official World Golf Ranking by 21 places and is now at Number 102.

David McKenzie won the Gila River Golf Classic on the Nationwide Tour and jumps 41 places to World Number 280.
