Arron Oberholser vaults up world rankings
Arron Oberholser won the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am on the PGA Tour, a final round of 72 giving him victory by five strokes. The win takes Oberholser into the World Top 50 in 41st place, a rise of 39 places, and secures a spot for him in the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship.
Kevin Stadler eagled the 18th hole at The Vines Resort & Country Club for the third straight day as he won the Johnnie Walker Classic by a margin of two strokes. The win takes Stadler into the World Top 100 in 92nd place, an improvement of 164 places.
Johan Axgren won the European Challenge Tour’s Kai Fieberg Costa Rica Open 2006 and climbs 134 places in the Official World Golf Ranking to 298th.
The only move in the top 10 saw South African Ernie Els climb one position to fourth, swapping places with American left-hander Phil Mickelson.
