Guy Tilston named Caddie of the Year

Guy Tilston, the caddie for Simon Dyson of England, was named HSBC Caddie of the Year at the recent HSBC Champions at the Sheshan International Club in Shanghai, China. Tilston, one of seven winners selected by the caddies and players, received the inaugural Harry Pithouse Trophy, for one of golf longest-serving and unsung heroes, who died suddenly this year.

Other winners included:

--Best Dressed Caddie - Andy Prodger (K J Choi)

--Best Drop of the Year - Steve Williams (Tiger Woods)

--Mystery of the Year - Gareth Lord (Robert Karlsson)

--Most Dedicated Caddie - Dave McNeilly (Niclas Fasth)

--Longest Suffering Caddie - Craig Connelly (Paul Casey)

--Alarm Clock of the Year - Mick Donaghy (Ian Poulter)

The ceremony was attended by players including Thomas Bjorn, Michael Campbell, Paul Casey, Luke Donald, Simon Dyson, Padraig Harrington, Colin Montgomerie and Ian Poulter.

"Caddies play an integral part in a player's success, so we wanted to acknowledge the work they do and have a bit of fun at the same time," said Giles Morgan, Head of Sports Marketing and Sponsorship at HSBC.
