Carl Pettersson jumps to World No. 29
Carl Pettersson from Sweden won the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club, Columbus, Ohio with a final round of 71 for a two stroke victory over Zach Johnson and Brett Wetterich. Petterson’s second PGA Tour win moves him up 22 places in the Official World Golf Ranking to 29th.
Robert Karlsson, also from Sweden, won the Celtic Manor Wales Open by 3 strokes from Paul Broadhurst. Karlsson’s sixth European Tour win, but first for nearly four years, means he climbs 61 places to World Number 94.
Hideto Tanihara won the JCB Classic Sendai on the Japan Golf Tour and improves his World Ranking by 90 places to 209th.
This week’s other winners were Brenden Pappas at the Rex Hospital Open on the Nationwide Tour and Alvaro Quiros at the Morson International Pro-Am on the European Challenge Tour.
