Tiger Woods struggled in miserable conditions to fall into a tie for the lead with Padraig Harrington after the third round at the Dunlop Phoenix tournament on Saturday.
Woods, who started the day with a one-shot lead, carded his highest third-round score of the year in relation to par, a 2-over-par 72 in persistent rain at Phoenix Country Club.
Harrington didn't exactly catch fire either, but a 1-over 71 was good enough to catch Woods with one round left.
They are at 6-under 204, two strokes clear of Shingo Katayama (71), with Takuya Taniguchi (68) another shot back.
Apart from back-to-back birdies at the par-5 fourth and par-4 fifth holes, Woods - who is seeking his third successive victory here - had little to smile about until the par-5 18th, where he drained a 15-foot birdie to complete an otherwise mediocre day.
A double bogey at the par-4 seventh, where he took four strokes to get down from a greenside bunker, was the low point of his round.
Harrington also had his problems, making successive bogeys at the 15th and 16th holes, just when he had a chance to take a stranglehold on the event.
