Geoff Ogilvy moves up to career high 26th in World Rankings

Geoff Ogilvy from Australia took the WGC - Accenture Match Play title at La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, with a 3&2 win over Davis Love III in the 36 hole final. Ogilvy achieves a career high World Ranking of 26th, an improvement of 27 spots, while Love III climbs 14 places to World Number 14.

Kirk Triplett shot a 9-under-par 63 to win the Chrysler Classic of Tucson, on the PGA Tour, by one stroke from Jerry Kelly. Triplett rises by 55 places in the Official World Golf Ranking to 85th.

Jim Rutledge from Canada won the ING NZ PGA Championship, a co-sanctioned between the Nationwide Tour and PGA Tour of Australasia, to leap 484 places to World Number 378.

Charl Schwartzel won the Vodacom Tour Championship and with it took the Sunshine Tour 2005/2006 Order of Merit Crown. The win takes Schwartzel to World Number 97, up 19 places.

Welshman Kyron Sullivan ended a marathon final day at the European Challenge Tour’s Estoril Challenge with a play-off victory over Englishman Ben Mason. Sullivan moves from World Number 613 to World Number 372.
