World number 11 Henrik Stenson of Sweden, a member of Europe's victorious Ryder Cup team, has entered next month's Champions Tournament in Shanghai, organizers said on Monday.
Tiger Woods will lead the strongest field assembled for a golf event in China, with 10 of the world's top 20 players having confirmed their entries.
Britain's David Howell is back to defend the title he won last November by outscoring playing partner Woods on the final day.
Woods, though, is aiming for revenge.
"It is a title I really want to win especially after chasing David so hard last year and coming so close," the world number one was quoted as saying on the European Tour's official Web site.
"I had a lot of fun last year. All the players appreciated the fantastic reception from the Chinese golf fans and the atmosphere was amazing all week."
Thomas Bjorn of Denmark and Colombian Camilo Villegas are also among the latest entries for the November 9-12 event at the Sheshan International Golf Club.
The tournament, which marks the launch of the 2006-2007 European Tour season, is co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour, the PGA Tour of Australasia, the Sunshine Tour and the China Golf Association.
