John Bickerton jumps 100 places in World Rankings

John Bickerton won the Open de France ALSTOM at Le Golf National by a stroke from Padraig Harrington. Bickerton’s second European Tour victory within a year sees him climb exactly 100 places to World Number 89 while Harrington’s second consecutive second place finish moves him up 2 positions to 18th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

J.J. Henry won the Buick Championship in his home state of Connecticut at the TPC River Highlands. This was Henry’s maiden PGA Tour win, completed by a margin of three strokes with a closing round of 3-under-par 67. Henry improves his position on the Official World Golf Ranking by 48 places to 68th.

On the Japan Golf Tour Tatsuhiko Takahashi won the UBS Japan Golf Tour Championship and climbs 139 positions to World Number 186.

This week’s other winners were John Merrick at the Peek'n Peak Classic on the Nationwide Tour, Juan Parron at the Open Mahou de Madrid on the European Challenge Tour and Steve Gangluff at the Telus Edmonton Open on the Canadian Tour.
