Harrington returns to world top ten

Padraig Harrington beat the defending champion Tiger Woods at the second extra hole to win the Dunlop Phoenix tournament at Phoenix Country Club, Miyazaki, Japan. The 2006 European Tour Order of Merit winner climbs 3 places in the Official World Golf Ranking to 8th, returning to the World Top 10 after an absence of 15 months.

José Manuel Lara collected his maiden European Tour title with a wire-to-wire victory in the UBS Hong Kong Open. A final round of 69 for a 15 under par total of 265 earned the Spaniard a one stroke triumph over Filipino Juvic Pagunsan. Lara climbs 49 places to World Number 78.

John Senden won the MFS Australian Open by a stroke from US Open champion Geoff Ogilvy at Royal Sydney after a tournament best round of 65 on the last day. Senden climbs 29 positions to 74th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Bradford Vaughan won the Limpopo Classic at Polokwane Golf Club on the Sunshine Tour in Southern Africa and is now World Number 287.
