Scott consolidates World Number Four spot with Tour Championship win

Adam Scott, the World Number Four, won The Tour Championship presented by Coca-Cola at East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Georgia with a final round of 66 and a three stroke victory over World Number Two Jim Furyk. Scott's fifth PGA Tour title strengthens his hold on fourth spot in the Official World Golf Ranking and secures third position for him in the final 2006 PGA Tour Money List.

Tatsu Ichihara shot a five-under-par final round to win the Asahiryokuken Yomiuri Memorial on the Japan Golf Tour, beating overnight leader and last week's Volvo Masters Champions Jeev Milkha Singh by a single stroke. Ichihara climbs 230 places to World Number 237.
