Scott consolidates World Number Four spot with Tour Championship
win
Adam Scott, the World Number Four, won The Tour Championship presented
by Coca-Cola at East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta, Georgia with a final
round of 66 and a three stroke victory over World Number Two Jim Furyk. Scott's fifth PGA Tour title strengthens his hold on fourth
spot in the Official World Golf Ranking and secures third position
for him in the final 2006 PGA Tour Money List.
Tatsu Ichihara shot a five-under-par final round to win the Asahiryokuken
Yomiuri Memorial on the Japan Golf Tour, beating overnight leader
and last week's Volvo Masters Champions Jeev Milkha Singh by a single
stroke. Ichihara climbs 230 places to World Number 237.
