Stephen Ames confirms Masters entry

Stephen Ames will play at next week's Masters after cancelling a family holiday.

He had suggested after his win at Sawgrass that he would miss the Masters.

Ames said: "It was something I had to talk to my family about before I made that decision.

"We had to collaborate, both with the kids and my wife. We are going to go (to the Masters)."

"I'd rather go on vacation, to be truthful."

Ames gained a 5-year US PGA Tour exemption, a spot in the next 3 Masters and Opens and starting places in the 2006 US Open and PGA Championship.
