Tiger Woods stretches rankings lead
Tiger Woods won the 135th Open Championship at Royal Liverpool GC, Hoylake, a final round of 67, equalling the best round of the day, giving him a two stroke victory over fellow American Chris DiMarco.
Woods’ lead in the Official World Golf Ranking is extended to 8.51 average points as he starts his 401st week as World Number One.
John Rollins won the B.C. Open presented by Turning Stone Resort on the PGA Tour with an 8-under-par final round of 64 for a one stroke victory over Bob May. Rollins climbs from World Number 136 to 91.
This week’s other winners were Yeh Wei-Tze at the Sega Sammy Cup on the Japan Golf Tour, Doug LaBelle-II at the Price Cutter Charity Championship on the Nationwide Tour and Rafael Cabrera Bello at the Man No Open on the European Challenge Tour.
