Tiger Woods wins Amex for his 12th WGC title

Tiger Woods, the World Number One, completed an eight-stroke victory at the World Golf Championships-American Express Championship at the Grove, Hertfordshire in England. The win marks Woods' fifth career American Express Championship title and his twelfth individual World Golf Championship win. Adam Scott finished tied second and moves up to World Number 4 while Jim Furyk regains the World Number 2 spot with his 4th place finish.

D.J. Trahan won on the PGA TOUR for the first time after a play-off over Joe Durant at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic. Trahan moves up to World Number 161, an improvement of 104 positions.

Hidemasa Hoshino won the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic on the Japan Golf Tour and is now placed in 111th position on the Official World Golf Ranking.

This week's other winners were Gaurav Ghei at the Mercuries Taiwan Masters on the Asian Tour and Mark Pilkington at the Kazakhstan Open on the European Challenge Tour.
