Tim Herron jumps back into World Top 50

Tim Herron won the Bank of America Colonial at Colonial Country Club, Fort Worth, Texas on the PGA Tour after a playoff with Sweden’s Richard S Johnson. Herron makes a climb of 27 places in the Official World Golf Ranking to 33rd.

Thomas Bjorn won the Nissan Irish Open at Carton House on the European Tour, birdies on the final two holes giving him victory by a stroke over Paul Casey on this tournament carried over to Monday morning by weather delays. Bjorn’s win takes him up 3 places to World Number 30.

Toshinori Muto won the Munsingwear KSB Cup on the Japan Golf Tour and improves his World Ranking by 362 places and is now World Number 302.

This week’s other winners were Matt Kuchar at the Henrico County Open on the Nationwide Tour, Kane Webber at the Macau Open on the Asian Tour and Toni Karjalainen at the Telenet Trophy in Belgium on the European Challenge Tour.
