American Express sign $30 million deal with Tiger Woods

New York, NY, 19th May - Tiger Woods has been signed up by American Express as its spokesman worldwide.

According to Brandweek, an American trade magazine, the deal is for five years and is worth $30 million.

American Express has announced that it's first commercial featuring Woods will be American Express Financial Advice and will be aired in late summer. The first print advertisement featuring Tiger Woods is expected to appear in major newspapers in the US next week.

Tiger won the Byron Nelson Classic last Sunday, the first event he played in since winning The Masters in April. His winning cheque of $324,000 took his career earnings over the $2 million mark making him the fastest and the youngest to do this in professional golf.
