Arnold Plamer says he may quit playing in tournaments

Augusta, Georgia, 11th April - Golf's most charismatic golfer has said he may not play in tournaments again unless he can improve his performance.

He may be back to delight the crowds at the Masters but he said, "If I keep scoring like this I'll make it private". Palmer who is 67 shot an 87 in the second round to go with his first of 89.

Arnie seemed to be struggling to pick up his fitness as well as his game after undergoing surgery for prostate cancer in January. He said "I was amazed that I couldn't get the strength to hit the golf ball, I felt tired walking, but I couldn't swing the club."
