Westwood
and Clarke to hold junior clinic
Ware,
Herts - Ryder Cup stars Lee Westwood and Darren Clarke, first and second in the Deutsche
Bank - SAP Open TPC of Europe in Hamburg on Monday, team up
to coach a group of junior golfers on Friday.
The two close
friends will take part in a special clinic for juniors after playing
their second rounds in the National Car Rental English Open at Hanbury
Manor, Ware, Hertfordshire.
Hanbury Manor
is the home of the Golf Foundation, and the clinic is part of the
Foundation's £1.3 million Starter Centre Initiative, a nationwide
programme designed to attract more youngsters to the sport.
More than 70
children aged between six and 18 will take part, and Westwood said:
"The help I received from the Golf Foundation was invaluable,
and I am only too happy to be able to repay them this way."
