Ratcliffe
leads qualifiers by three shots
Walton
Heath, Surrey - Curtis Cup star Elaine Ratcliffe continued
her domination of the English Ladies Amateur Golf Championship at
Walton Heath, Surrey today by striding into the match play stages
as top qualifier.
The 25-year-old
Cheshire champion from Sandiway followed up her 71 of yesterday
with a one under par 73 for a 36 hole total of 144.
That gave her
top spot by three strokes from Derbyshire's Lisa Walters with former
Gloucestershire champion Kathryn Hamilton and Fiona Brown of Heswall,
Cheshire in joint third place a further three strokes adrift.
Former British
champion Emma Dougleby and last year's runner-up Kate Burton survived
a sudden death play-off to make it into the knock-out phase.
