Dubai venue
for greenkeepers conference
London
- Greenkeeping staff from as far apart as South Africa
and St Andrews will meet next month in Dubai for the European Tours
sixth biannual Greenkeepers Conference.
The four-day
conference will give greenkeepers from the main European Tour as
well as the Challenge and Seniors Tours a chance to meet and discuss
some of the latest and most sophisticated methods of preparing golf
courses.
A total of
57 leading greenkeepers and course consultants are attending the
event which is being staged in the Middle East for the first time
following three visits to Penina and one to La Manga.
The European
Tour's greenkeeping consuiltant, Richard Stillwell, Chris Kennedy
of Wentworth, Gerry Byrne of the K Club and Loch Lomond's Ken Siems
are among the guest speakers. David Garland and David Probyn, director
and assistant director of Tour Operations, respectively will address
the conference.
The theme of
the conference is Annual Meadow Grass
